Haynes Motor Museum is home to the UK's largest collection of cars and motorcycles, welcoming more than 125,000 visitors each year and delivering an extensive calendar of motoring events, exhibitions and STEM education programmes. The Mitsubishi L200 will support the Museum's operations by transporting historic vehicles to events delivering the Museum’s extensive learning and outreach programmes throughout the South West.
The partnership brings together two organisations with deep roots in the automotive industry. Haynes Motor Museum has spent more than four decades inspiring enthusiasts and educating future generations through its world-class collection and educational programmes, while FJ Chalke has remained a family-owned business for almost a century.
Founded in 1929 by Frederick James Chalke, FJ Chalke has grown into one of the South West's leading automotive retailer groups. Despite its growth, the business remains family-owned and committed to the principles on which it was established: delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the communities it serves.
The partnership extends beyond the provision of a vehicle, with both organisations committed to a wider programme of collaborative activity. This includes joint marketing initiatives, and opportunities to connect with audiences through the Museum’s established events and outreach programme. These shared activities will help strengthen visibility for both organisations while supporting the Museum’s educational and community-focused mission.
The Mitsubishi L200 will support a wide range of Museum activities, from classic vehicle events to educational and community projects, demonstrating how two organisations with a shared passion for motoring can work together to inspire and engage new audiences.
By bringing together FJ Chalke's long-standing family heritage and Haynes Motor Museum's mission to preserve and share automotive history, the partnership demonstrates how collaboration can help inspire enthusiasts, support education and strengthen communities across the South West and beyond.
