Our favourite family SUV has just secured a brand-new Guinness World Records™ title, and it’s a big one. The Qashqai e-POWER has officially claimed the record for the longest journey completed by a non-plug-in extended-range electric vehicle SUV without external charging or refuelling.
1,980 Kilometres on a Single Tank!
Yes, you read that right. Covering an astonishing 1,980 km (that’s over 1,230 miles!) on just one tank of petrol, the Qashqai showcased exactly why Nissan’s e-POWER technology is leading the charge in modern driving efficiency.
The epic journey took place over in Colombia between the 14th and 17th of July 2026, travelling all the way from Bogotá to the beautiful Caribbean coast. It tackled a huge variety of roads, traffic, and driving conditions, all whilst being strictly and independently monitored by the eagle-eyed judges at Guinness World Records™.
