We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic Forecourt Wash Operative to join our busy Valeting team in Wincanton.

As a Forecourt Wash Operative, you will:

Working between our 2 dealerships in Wincanton, your main duty will be to ensure that all vehicles across the showrooms and forecourts are kept in pristine condition, ready for the next prospective customer… First impressions are extremely important!
Be prepared for mostly working outdoors across our forecourts
Prepare and clean vehicles (cars, vans and trucks) to the highest standard while optimising your efficiency
Assist the wider Valet team when holidays and absences need to be covered
Be aware of, or take the time to learn about the products you use
Take real pride in your work and apply those extra steps to ensure complete satisfaction for customers and colleagues alike
Comply with company procedures including H&S while being conscious of various SDS’s and COSHH guidance for products you use
Keep your workspace clean and clear – you can’t clean cars in a dirty environment
Support others around the business by performing to the best of your ability

The ideal candidate:

Is positive, punctual, presentable, hardworking and driven
Will have excellent communication and time management skills
Has previous experience in a car cleaning / valeting role
Demonstrates real attention to detail - “that’ll do” isn’t good enough for you (or us!)
Can manage their own busy workload as well as performing as part of a tight-knit team
Thrives and remains calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines
Would have experience in the motor trade - not necessary but would be advantageous!

Key requirements:

Full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points
Happy working outdoors in all seasons (workwear is provided)
A desire to provide exceptional customer experiences by having a keen attention to detail
